Short definitions for the terms seen throughout New Frontiers.

World

The persistent shared Earth simulation identified by the server's world ID.

H3 cell

A small hexagonal geographic index used for claims, movement, armies, resources, and regional simulation.

Game-hour

A simulation hour. In production it equals one real hour; in Rapid Test it normally equals one real minute.

Influence

A city-local resource spent on that city's claims, cultural expansion, border reinforcement, diplomacy, intelligence, and some projects.

Knowledge

The civilization-wide research and discovery resource used to unlock technologies and advanced systems.

Research seat

The one city authorized to issue research orders and pay their local Timber, Stone, and Food costs. It begins as the permanent capital and moves to the city containing the civilization's active University.

Stability

A readable summary of safety, services, supply, housing, employment, political transition, occupation, and city well-being.

Worked land

An eligible owned improvement automatically assigned available population by the city focus system.

Settlement tier

Camp, Village, Town, or City progression controlling capacity and unlocks.

Army

A named, non-stacking formation containing one or more military unit types and receiving shared orders.

Legacy

Permanent historical achievement and Prestige that records accomplishment without ending play.

Scroll

A fair-play consumable that removes half of an eligible project's original duration and cannot accelerate competitive timers.

Visible future content that is intentionally locked and not gameplay-ready, such as the later Space Era technology branch.
