Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of websites, games, applications, online services, and other products provided by Ahrens Lab (collectively, the "Services"). Individual Services may provide additional notices or rules for specific features.

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to follow these Terms and applicable platform rules. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Use of the Services

The Services are provided for their intended personal, entertainment, informational, or interactive purposes. You may not intentionally interfere with, damage, overload, disrupt, exploit, or attempt unauthorized access to the Services, accounts, servers, networks, data, or security systems.

3. Accounts and Service Data

Some Services may create or use an account, player identifier, device-linked identifier, authentication token, or similar mechanism to maintain progress, settings, content, or online functionality. You are responsible for maintaining reasonable control over devices and platform accounts you use to access the Services.

3A. Rustshift Adult Audience

Rustshift is intended only for users who are at least 18 years old. Creating a Rustshift account requires an affirmative age confirmation and acceptance of these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Rustshift may contain mature fictional themes, including crime, gambling-style systems, alcohol or drug references, sexual themes or references, and optional purchases or randomized digital rewards. Feature availability may be limited or changed to comply with platform, payment-provider, regional, or legal requirements.

4. Virtual Content and Digital Features

Ahrens Lab games and applications may contain virtual items, currencies, characters, rewards, progress, unlocks, or other digital content. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, virtual content is licensed for use within the applicable Service and does not represent real-world currency, property, or a cash-equivalent financial account.

Features, balancing, availability, requirements, and virtual content may change as a Service is developed or maintained.

5. Purchases

Some Services may offer optional purchases. Purchases made through an application store, payment provider, marketplace, or other third party are also subject to that provider's terms, payment procedures, and refund rules.

In Canvas Frontier, a canvas sponsorship unlocks another shared public drawing area. It does not purchase land, ownership, exclusivity, privacy, permanent control, or protection from other users painting on the same canvas.

Ahrens Lab may use transaction or entitlement information necessary to verify purchases, deliver content, prevent fraud or duplicate fulfillment, and account for refunds or revoked purchases.

If a Service offers paid randomized digital rewards, applicable odds, purchase disclosures, eligibility restrictions, and regional availability will be presented as required for that feature. Virtual rewards are not redeemable for cash or real-world value unless Ahrens Lab expressly states otherwise in writing.

6. Advertising and Third-Party Services

Some Services may include advertising or integrate third-party services for distribution, purchases, advertising, infrastructure, or supporting functionality. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies where applicable.

7. Acceptable Use

You may not use the Services for fraudulent, unlawful, abusive, or intentionally disruptive activity. This includes attempts to manipulate purchases or rewards, exploit vulnerabilities, bypass access controls, impersonate another user, introduce malicious software, automate abusive traffic, or interfere with normal operation.

8. Public User Content

Some Services, including Canvas Frontier and Rustshift, let users create or modify public or shared content such as pixels, profile text, garage names, crew names, market listings, or messages. You may not submit illegal, threatening, hateful, sexually exploitative, privacy-invasive, infringing, malicious, or otherwise abusive content. Do not use shared features to expose personal or confidential information.

You retain any rights you hold in content you create. By submitting it, you grant Ahrens Lab a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, transmit, moderate, and adapt that content as needed to operate, protect, promote, and improve the Services. Shared content may be overwritten by other users or removed, hidden, or preserved for moderation. Persistence is not guaranteed.

9. Intellectual Property

Ahrens Lab Services, including their software, designs, artwork, text, game systems, branding, and other original content, are owned by Ahrens Lab or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Ahrens Lab content to users.

10. Availability, Updates, and Maintenance

Ahrens Lab may update, modify, rebalance, repair, suspend, discontinue, or restrict all or part of a Service when reasonably necessary for development, maintenance, security, legal compliance, platform requirements, or normal operation. Online features may also depend on internet connectivity and third-party systems outside Ahrens Lab's direct control.

11. Suspension or Termination

Access may be limited or terminated when reasonably necessary to protect users, Ahrens Lab, service integrity or security, or to respond to material violations of these Terms or applicable law.

12. Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided on an "as available" basis. Ahrens Lab works to maintain reliable Services but does not guarantee that every Service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device, or free from data loss or technical problems.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Ahrens Lab is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses resulting from use of or inability to use the Services. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.

14. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated as Ahrens Lab, its Services, platform requirements, or applicable laws change. The "Last updated" date identifies the most recent revision. Where appropriate, an individual Service may provide additional notice of material changes.
